We can:

• Introduce students to indexes: print and Internet databases;
• Demonstrate full-text index searching techniques;
• Guide students on a tour/layout of the Library;
• Present basic Internet searching techniques and library web resources;
• Tailor instruction to meet specific course needs;

Call Jean Fisher at 766-3158 to schedule library instruction. We will ask about your class size, your expectations, and the library assignment, so we can make the best use of your class time. Updated class assignments can be sent via email/campus mail to: Jean Fisher, Library L-17, fisherje@wvstateu.edu.

Schedule as soon as you can to reserve your preferred date and time. When dates fill up, we will not be able to accommodate additional requests - first come-first reserved. We need at least one weeks' notice to prepare lectures, arrange schedules and compile material. Faculty should attend sessions to provide assistance with hands-on activities for their students and furnish feedback to librarians.

If you need to use the ETC for instruction the room can be reserved for a single session. A faculty member must supervise the session to prevent vandalism.
