Gore Hall a dormitory for young men, was constructed in 1926 and opened October 1, 1926. It was
named for Howard M. Gore, West Virginia Governor (1925 -1929). Several of the brick masons who worked
on the dormitory were college students training in brick masonry art as part of their regular college
work. Gore Hall was torn down October 2013 to make room for a new residence hall.
