The West Virginia State University Archives and Special Collections Department is located on the Ground Floor (Room 2) of the Drain-Jordan Library. The archives houses material related to the history of WVSU, alumni and employees. In addition to university history, the collection contains information pertaining to African-Americans in West Virginia, African-American higher education, West Virginia history, and Appalachian regional history. Holdings include monographs, rare books, university documents, photographs, manuscripts, sound recordings, video recordings, and maps. |
