WEST VIRGINIA STATE UNIVERSITY DRAIN-JORDAN LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT

Drain-Jordan Library has been the center of educational activities of West Virginia State University since 1951. Its mission is to support the curriculum and research needs of students and faculty by providing excellent academic library resources. The library provides books, journals, state-of-the-art electronic teaching room, technological tools, and other resources for all users. The library faculty also teach students individually as well as in groups through bibliographic instruction, the research metholology, and they introduce them to various tools, including many electronic databases to do scholarly research for their term papers and other projects in different subjects. The library also provides a comfortable atmosphere, space, and excellent service to all students, faculty,and staff for their information, knowledge, and research needs.
