Judge Damon J. Keith Scholars Hall, WVSU's newest residence hall was officially dedicated on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
It is named in honor of distinguished West Virginia State alumnus, the Honorable Judge Damon J. Keith, who serves
as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. The state-of-the-art facility contains two-, three-, and four-bedroom suites in addition to a study lounge,
a multi-purpose room, a café and a game room for students.
Ground was broken September 2013 for the 291-bed, four-story residence hall. Construction began in November 2013 and completed August 2014 before the
start of fall classes.
